Job 23:10
“But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.”
This might be my new vision statement for my life, “I will come forth as gold!” Have you every thought about God is a gold digger? Actually, one of my favorite qualities of God is that He is gold digger. I know this is sometimes used as a derogatory term, but when you understand it as someone that searches for the gold inside of you and prophetically calls it forth, who wouldn’t be around a gold digger? This is God’s heart over each and everyone of us…to call forth the buried gold He sees in us, to refine us, and to make us look like Him.
He sees so much in you…As you surrender yourself to His leadership, He will do more in and through your life than you ever imagined…. but there will be testing. Testing? Yes, although I am not of the theological bent that God necessarily causes all the testing, I know from personal experience He will most certainly use it. There is no pain or circumstance that is wasted in God’s economy. It is an opportunity to say “yes” to Him at the deepest level and live unoffended because you trust His goodness. No matter what. Job walked through horrific circumstances, but He did not allow a root of bitterness or offense to develop. He trusted in the character of God and His leadership over his life through every test, and he came forth as gold. Just continue to say “yes” to Him….there is gold He is mining in you.
How has He used testing in your life? What are you walking through now that God is using to refine you? How can we pray for you?

There is no pain or circumstances that is wasted in God’s economy. I love that! I want to learn more about and live by God’s economy. Thanks, Julie Reams!
